The OsteoMed Cannulated Screw Systems are comprised of screws and washers used for bone fixation of the hand and foot following trauma or osteotomy. The 2.0/2.4mm system features 2.0mm diameter cannulated screws in lengths of 6.0mm to 22.0mm and 2.4mm diameter cannulated screws in lengths from 6.0mm to 30.0mm. The 3.0/4.0mm system features 3.0 and 4.0mm diameter cannulated screws in lengths from 10.0mm to 52.0mm. Washers are available in sizes for each diameter screw. Both systems instruments include depth gauges, screwdrivers, countersinks, guide wires, and drill bits to facilitate the placement of screws.

Indications
Use of the OsteoMed Cannulated Screw Systems are contraindicated in cases of active or suspected infection or in patients who are immunocompromised; in patients previously sensitized to titanium; or in patients with certain metabolic diseases. It is further contraindicated in patients exhibiting disorders which would cause the patient to ignore the limitations of rigid fixation.
