Cadaver Lab Series

The Podiatry Institute, Atlanta

OsteoMed will host the first in a series of four Cadaver Labs at The Podiatry Institute in Atlanta, GA on April 2nd. Featured products will include: ReflexionTM, Talar-FitTM, and the new ExtremiFixTM headless screws.

Clinical lectures will be presented by Dr. William L. Parker, DPM, FACFAS & Dr. Charles Southerland, DPM, FACFAS followed by a hands-on educational workshop.

Dr. William L. Parker has over 12 years experience in treating foot and ankle disorders. A graduate of Temple University School of Medicine, he is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.

Dr. Parker is also recognized as a distinguished Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He has several publications in the scientific literature and lectures on the use of diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound throughout the United States.

Dr. Southerland is a Biomechanics Professor of Podiatric Medicine at the Barry University School of Graduate Medical Sciences in Miami Shore, Fla. He has created a program to treat disabling foot deformities and was awarded the 2001-02 Jeanne O'Laughlin Barry University Scholars Award by the Barry University Faculty Awards Committee. He is a Fellow with the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons and the American College of Foot & Ankle Orthopedics & Primary Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Southerland, is also the founder of The Barry University Yucatan Crippled Children's Project, which he started ten years ago in order to perform foot and ankle surgery in Merida on children presenting feet deformity. This Project has rendered treatment to thousands of children.
